Rob Caron is a Programmer/Writer for the Microsoft Visual Studio team where he
is responsible for documenting Web Services and topics related to enterprise software
development. He has also authored several articles that have appeared in the
MSDN Library and in MSDN Magazine. A rabid fan of all things ASP, Rob is a charter
member of the aspAlliance.
After leaving an eleven year career in the United States Navy with a degree
in Nuclear Engineering Technology, Rob went to work at Newport News Shipbuilding
as an associate engineer. It was at NNS that he graduated from hobbyist programmer
to professional programmer, trading off nuclear propulsion for networking and
Visual Basic. Eager to capitalize on the Internet boom, he then joined a since-failed
Internet start-up company. Before arriving at Microsoft, he worked as a senior
consultant developing applications with Visual Basic and ASP for clients that
included American Express, InterRealty and the US Post Office.
Rob lives in Redmond, Washington with his wife, daughter and dog. For recreation,
he enjoys spending his weekends proving the laws of gravity by skydiving with his
wife. He can be reached by e-mail at:
